RRS International Development has broken ground on the $100 million NH Collection Ras Al Khaimah Al Marjan Island Hotel & Apartments, marking a major milestone in branded hospitality-led living.
RAS AL KHAIMAH: RRS International Development has officially begun construction on the $100 million NH Collection Ras Al Khaimah Al Marjan Island Hotel & Apartments, a mixed-use development that has already been oversubscribed since its launch. The project introduces the internationally acclaimed NH Collection Hotels & Resorts brand to Al Marjan Island for the first time, in partnership with Minor Hotels.
The landmark development will include 121 hotel keys and 36 branded residences, combining five-star hospitality with contemporary living. Guests and residents can expect sweeping sea views, tropical-inspired interiors, and lifestyle-led amenities. The design, envisioned by RRS and executed by Arkiplan Consulting Architects & Engineers, incorporates a wave-inspired structure symbolising the meeting of sea and desert. Interiors by B8 Architectural Prospective Drawings Services LLC emphasise lush greenery, vibrant décor, and open spaces, reflecting a modern tropical aesthetic.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Rakesh Mirchandani, Co-Founder of RRS International Development, said: “This groundbreaking is more than the start of construction—it’s the beginning of a new chapter for this incredible project. It has also been nominated for Best Design Concept at the 2025 Commercial Interior Design Awards.
