ATARA Development teams with Marriott International to unveil GCC’s first Sheraton-branded residences on Al Marjan Island.
RAS AL KHAIMAH: ATARA Development has signed a landmark agreement with Marriott International to launch The Residences at Sheraton Al Marjan Island Resort, the first Sheraton-branded residences in the GCC. The beachfront property, featuring 141 premium units, will be co-located with the Sheraton Al Marjan Island Resort and is designed to offer an elevated lifestyle experience on one of Ras Al Khaimah’s most sought-after coastlines.
The signing ceremony was attended by dignitaries from Marjan and Marriott International, including Arch. Abdulla Al Abdouli, CEO of Marjan, alongside ATARA leadership. Al Abdouli emphasised that the project represents the calibre of world-class developments envisioned for Al Marjan Island, blending ATARA’s expertise in luxury residences with Sheraton’s global hospitality legacy.
This flagship project signals ATARA Development’s transition into primary development, building upon its proven track record with sold-out projects in Dubai locations such as Pearl Jumeirah Island, La Mer South Island, and Dubai Islands. The company plans to deliver more than one million square feet of premium developments in the next two years, underscoring its growth ambitions.
The Residences at Sheraton Al Marjan Island Resort will bring together modern architecture, elegant interiors, over 50 lifestyle amenities, and in-house hospitality services. Designed to embody Sheraton’s distinctive style and backed by ATARA’s construction expertise, the project will set a new benchmark in the region’s luxury waterfront living segment.
“This project marks a defining moment for ATARA,” said Umid Bazarov, COO of ATARA Development. “We are not just building homes but creating lifestyle ecosystems that reflect the aspirations of our clients.”
Sandeep Walia, COO, Middle East and Luxury, Marriott International, added: “This is the first Sheraton-branded residence in the GCC, and we are excited to collaborate with ATARA Development to deliver a project that reflects Sheraton’s legacy of service and sense of belonging.”
With Ras Al Khaimah’s economy projected to grow by an average of four per cent annually until 2027, Al Marjan Island continues to attract global investors and hospitality leaders. The Sheraton residences are expected to further position the island as the region’s premier coastal lifestyle hub.
