Arabian Travel Market 2026 unveils theme “Travel 2040,” exploring innovation, sustainability, and technology shaping global tourism.
DUBAI: The Middle East’s leading travel and tourism showcase, Arabian Travel Market (ATM), has announced its 2026 theme: “Travel 2040: Driving New Frontiers Through Innovation and Technology.” The event, set for 4–7 May 2026 at Dubai World Trade Centre, will spotlight how technology and sustainability are reshaping tourism worldwide.
According to the World Economic Forum, the travel sector is projected to reach 30 billion tourist visits by 2034, contributing $16 trillion to global GDP. ATM 2026 will highlight how AI-driven personalisation, immersive digital platforms, green aviation, and smart mobility are redefining travel choices and operations.
Danielle Curtis, Exhibition Director ME for ATM, said: “The next decade will be crucial for global tourism as climate change, digital innovation, and evolving consumer expectations converge. ATM 2026 will show how innovation can enhance experiences, improve efficiency, and ensure sustainability.”
Building on the success of previous editions, ATM 2026 will introduce new features, including the ATM Travel Tech co-located show, the ATM Ultra Luxury Lounge, and an expanded IBTM @ ATM, which will bring together global MICE leaders with the Middle East’s fast-growing events sector.
The ATM Travel Tech show will feature immersive spaces dedicated to robotics, AR/VR, smart payments, big data, fintech, and green travel solutions. Anchored by the Future Stage, it will host leading futurists, entrepreneurs, and global tech voices. Meanwhile, the Ultra Luxury Lounge will connect high-net-worth travellers with bespoke brands in hospitality, aviation, yachting, and lifestyle experiences.
Regional growth continues to fuel ATM’s expansion. The ATM Travel Trends Report 2025 predicts Middle East travel spending will surpass $350 billion by 2030, with inbound growth nearly double the global average. The MICE industry and luxury travel sectors are also on the rise, positioning the region as a key global tourism hub.
With over 55,000 professionals from 166 countries attending its 2025 edition, ATM remains a catalyst for collaboration, offering a platform where policymakers, innovators, and industry leaders can shape the future of global travel.
