HKTDC strengthens UAE-Hong Kong ties with four key trade fairs in October 2025, expanding opportunities in electronics, lighting, and innovation.

Dubai: The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is set to create new business avenues with four major Hong Kong trade fairs in October 2025, reinforcing bilateral ties with the UAE.

Announced by Mr Daniel Lam, HKTDC Regional Director (Middle East & Africa), the upcoming fairs include the Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition), electronicAsia, Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition), and Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo. These events provide ideal platforms for UAE traders and suppliers to expand their reach and explore innovative partnerships.

Hong Kong and the UAE share a strong economic relationship, with bilateral trade valued at over USD 14.8 billion as of late 2024. The UAE is Hong Kong’s sixth-largest export market and 17th largest import source.

The Electronics Fair and electronicAsia, running from 13–16 October 2025, will showcase innovations in AI, robotics, digital entertainment, and health tech, drawing over 3,000 global exhibitors. These exhibitions also feature specialised zones like “RoboPark” and “Tech Hall,” alongside networking forums and startup showcases.

From 27–31 October, the twin lighting fairs will spotlight IoT-enabled lighting innovations across commercial, residential, and horticultural sectors. Specialised zones such as Hall of Aurora, Smart Pole Solutions, and Horticultural Lighting will display cutting-edge designs, sustainable lighting, and smart city technologies.

In tandem, HKTDC and HKSTP will present Hong Kong Tech Pavilions at GITEX Global and Expand North Star in Dubai, promoting 20+ tech companies and fostering cross-border partnerships.

All four Hong Kong trade fairs will adopt a hybrid “EXHIBITION+” model, integrating smart tools like Click2Match and Scan2Match to enhance global business networking.

Hong Kong trade fairs remain key to fostering innovation, strengthening partnerships, and unlocking opportunities between Hong Kong and the UAE.
