Salik has launched new digital channels including an enhanced app and WhatsApp service, driving innovation in Dubai’s smart mobility ecosystem.
DUBAI: Salik PJSC, Dubai’s exclusive toll gate operator, has announced a major step forward in its digital transformation journey, unveiling a range of new communication channels to enhance customer and investor engagement. The move aligns with Salik’s strategic focus on delivering smart, seamless and secure services across Dubai’s mobility network.
The latest digital expansion includes an upgraded Salik mobile app and a newly introduced interactive WhatsApp channel, bringing the company’s communication touchpoints to a total of nine. These now include Salik’s website, mobile app, SMS alerts, WhatsApp, investor relations app, and social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X), along with integration with public and private entities such as RTA, Careem, and 17 major UAE banks.
Since the app’s relaunch on July 25, 2025, more than 89,667 new downloads have been recorded across Android and iOS platforms, with over 800,000 active users. Meanwhile, the WhatsApp service has successfully reached 150,000 customers with vehicle insurance renewal notifications, driving a noticeable increase in successful interactions.
Salik’s digital channels have processed over 10.5 million transactions so far in 2025, with customer satisfaction exceeding 92%, reflecting ease of access and public confidence in the platform’s reliability.
CEO Ibrahim Sultan Al Haddad described the rollout as a key milestone: “We are committed to expanding our smart services portfolio to ensure greater convenience and efficiency for our customers while reinforcing Dubai’s global leadership in mobility and smart infrastructure.”
Salik has also invested in advanced vehicle recognition systems with 99.9% accuracy, while expanding its eWallet capabilities to offer a broader range of smart mobility services. These efforts support Dubai’s digital transformation goals and highlight Salik’s role in elevating urban quality of life through sustainable innovation.
