SCM Middle East Conclave: Former President of India Ram Nath Kovind Calls IMEC Not Just a Trade Route, But a Bridge Between Civilizations
Dubai: The SCM Middle East Conclave & Awards 2025 concluded today, reinforcing Dubai’s role as a global logistics hub. Hosted by Logistics Shakti, the event gathered over 400 CEOs, investors, and policymakers from India, the UAE, and the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC) region.
With Hon’ble Former President of India Shri Ram Nath Kovind as Chief Guest and H.E. Abdullah Ahmed Al Saleh, UAE’s Undersecretary for Economy, as Guest of Honour, the two-day conclave spotlighted the transformative impact of the IMEC. Key sessions focused on pioneering connectivity, building resilient and sustainable supply chains, and boosting India-UAE trade through Bharat Mart. The conclave honored victims of the Kashmir attack with a moment of silence, symbolizing solidarity amidst global turbulence.
In his address, Shri Kovind hailed IMEC as a “bridge between civilizations” and praised India’s emergence as a global growth engine. H.E. Al Saleh emphasized the UAE’s commitment to technology-driven, sustainable trade routes powered by AI, blockchain, and automation.
Smt. Meenakshi Lekhi highlighted IMEC as an essential “fire escape” route for global commerce, stressing strategic cooperation and resilience in an increasingly volatile world.
The SCM Awards recognized excellence and innovation across supply chain management, celebrating achievements that set new industry benchmarks.
Kamal Narayan Omer and Amit Shankhdhar, co-founders of Logistics Shakti, emphasized the conclave’s role in reshaping future trade corridors and accelerating global connectivity.
