The International Fund for Houbara Conservation will showcase UAE-led sustainability and heritage initiatives at ADIHEX 2025 in Abu Dhabi.
ABU DHABI: The International Fund for Houbara Conservation (IFHC) has confirmed its participation in the 20th Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX) 2025, to be held from 30 August to 7 September at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC). This year’s edition runs under the theme “Sustainability and Heritage… with a Renewed Spirit” and reflects the UAE’s enduring commitment to environmental stewardship and cultural preservation.
Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the event will bring together thousands of nature, falconry, and heritage enthusiasts. The Houbara Conservation Fund at ADIHEX will present a uniquely designed pavilion offering a close-up encounter with live Houbara birds and interactive educational exhibits for visitors of all ages.
Rooted in the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the pavilion will showcase IFHC’s decades-long efforts in captive breeding, scientific research, and international partnerships that aim to preserve the Houbara bustard — a symbol of ecological balance and sustainable hunting practices. Visitors will explore conservation success stories through documentaries and witness innovative tools like the region’s first “Houbara AI Platform” and the student-led “Houbara Ambassadors Programme”.
The Houbara Conservation Fund at ADIHEX will also display AI-driven research collaborations with Khalifa University, including the ‘Houbara Robot’ and predictive modelling of bird behaviour and vegetation mapping. These efforts aim to advance ecological research and protect endangered species including the Arabian Houbara and Indian Great Bustard.
With over 120,000 visitors expected, the IFHC’s presence at ADIHEX 2025 will not only honour tradition but also engage future generations with interactive tools, real-time scientific demonstrations, and a message of global leadership in wildlife conservation.
