Drone delivery arrives in Nad Al Sheba with Keeta Drone’s smart route, marking a leap for sustainable logistics in Dubai.
DUBAI: In a groundbreaking move toward smart and sustainable city living, drone delivery in Nad Al Sheba is now a reality. The Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA), in collaboration with the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) and tech operator Keeta Drone, has launched an advanced drone route that connects Nad Al Sheba Avenue Mall with residents via the Nad Al Sheba Grand Mosque.
This pioneering launch marks a major milestone in Dubai’s mission to become a global capital for aerial logistics and smart transportation. During the official launch, His Excellency Mohammed Abdulla Lengawi, Director General of DCAA, oversaw the first successful drone delivery, joined by key government figures and innovators in the smart tech sector.
The drones, operated by Keeta Drone, will deliver food and small parcels from mall-based restaurants and cafés directly to local residents, making deliveries more efficient, contactless, and eco-friendly. The smart drone corridor is part of a wider strategy to support Dubai’s vision of integrating smart technology into everyday infrastructure.
Keeta Drone already runs four active routes in Dubai Silicon Oasis, but the drone delivery in Nad Al Sheba represents a new benchmark for public-private collaboration in urban logistics. DCAA ensures all operations remain within a regulated airspace, maintaining safety and compliance while pushing the boundaries of innovation.
His Excellency Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, Director General of IACAD, highlighted the symbolic and strategic use of the Nad Al Sheba Grand Mosque as a launch hub, noting its role in community development and sustainable tech integration. This initiative reflects Dubai’s commitment to combining traditional values with cutting-edge innovation for a better quality of life.
