DUBAI: Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), in partnership with Etihad Rail, has opened a major 1.8km flyover on Al Yalayis Street to boost traffic flow to and from Dubai Investment Park. The new three-lane, signal-controlled flyover includes right-turn slip roads for vehicles entering and exiting the park, and towards Sheikh Zayed Road.
The project is a key step in separating train movement from road traffic to support the UAE’s national railway network. This Dubai flyover opening allows trains to travel smoothly within the median strip of Al Yalayis Street without disrupting vehicles. This separation enhances road safety and maintains smooth traffic flow, reflecting RTA’s smart transport strategy.
The Dubai flyover opening highlights strong collaboration between RTA and Etihad Rail, supporting the UAE’s wider vision of a sustainable transport system. The national railway project aims to deliver safer, reliable movement of goods and passengers across the country through a modern integrated network.
Etihad Rail has confirmed its commitment to working closely with UAE authorities to uphold the highest global standards. The Dubai flyover opening will further enhance vital transport links, boosting economic and social growth by connecting key areas across Dubai and the UAE.
Looking ahead, the flyover will be extended towards Jumeirah Golf Estates, with a two-lane road planned in each direction. This future extension will further improve connectivity and ease traffic flow in one of Dubai’s important residential and commercial areas.
Through initiatives like this Dubai flyover opening, the city continues to reinforce its position as a global leader in transport innovation, safety, and infrastructure excellence.
