DUBAI: Dubai Municipality’s parks and recreational facilities welcomed more than 16.7 million visitors in the first half of 2025, recording an increase of over 250,000 compared to the same period last year. This surge in footfall reflects Dubai’s appeal as a global destination for leisure and underscores its commitment to building a sustainable, vibrant urban environment.
Five flagship parks — Zabeel, Mushrif National Park, Al Safa, Al Mamzar and Creek Park — collectively attracted 3.7 million visitors. A further 211 neighbourhood parks saw over 11.4 million guests, while Quranic Park drew approximately 813,000. The iconic Dubai Frame welcomed 748,000 visitors, and Children’s City recorded 51,000 guests during the same period.
Bader Anwahi, CEO of the Public Facilities Agency at Dubai Municipality, said the rise in visitors highlights the success of continuous investment in urban spaces. “Our parks are now year-round attractions that blend culture, leisure and nature,” he stated, adding that the initiative supports Dubai’s vision for a high quality of life and its position as a leading global city.
Designed to international standards, these public spaces are central to the Dubai Urban Plan 2040, the Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 2033, and the ‘Dubai Walk’ project to enhance walkable, accessible city infrastructure. With modern facilities, shaded areas, smart technologies and family-friendly features, parks contribute to both physical and mental wellbeing.
In addition to recreational use, the parks have also become active community hubs. More than 1,485 public events were held in these spaces in the first half of the year, ranging from sports competitions to cultural and social gatherings.
With over 220 facilities under its management, Dubai Municipality continues to enhance the emirate’s green footprint, while supporting inclusivity, sustainability and tourism.
