DUBAI: The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will open a new exit from Financial Centre Street to Ras Al Khor Road in early August, as part of its Rapid Traffic Solutions Plan. The new exit, located near Bu Kadra Interchange, aims to significantly ease traffic congestion and enhance mobility in one of Dubai’s busiest corridors.

This infrastructure enhancement is targeted at improving traffic flow for vehicles heading from Financial Centre Street to Ras Al Khor Road, which serves as a key route connecting commercial, industrial, and developing residential zones. The newly constructed exit promises to cut peak-hour travel times by 54%, reducing average journey durations from 13 minutes to just 6 minutes.

The initiative is part of the RTA’s ongoing commitment to align road infrastructure with Dubai’s fast-paced urban expansion. It also supports the authority’s strategy to deliver swift, effective traffic solutions that reduce congestion and boost road safety across the city.

This development follows the successful expansion of Exit 25 on Ras Al Khor Road, which leads to Al Khail Road towards Al Meydan Street. The upgrade extended the exit from one to two lanes across 500 metres, doubling vehicle capacity to 3,000 per hour. This change helped reduce waiting times during peak periods from 7 minutes to just 4 minutes.

Both projects demonstrate the RTA’s proactive approach in improving Dubai’s road infrastructure and ensuring smooth travel experiences for all road users.
