UAE Fuel Price Committee increases petrol prices for September 2025 while diesel drops, impacting vehicle fuel costs slightly.

ABU DHABI: The UAE Fuel Price Committee has announced the retail fuel prices for September 2025, with minor fluctuations in rates compared to August. The new prices are effective from 1 September and apply across all Emirates.

The price of Super 98 petrol has been increased to AED2.70 per litre, up by 1 fil from August. Special 95 petrol will now retail at AED2.58 per litre, also marking a 1-fil rise. The more economical E-Plus 91 petrol sees a similar adjustment, now priced at AED2.51 per litre.

On the other hand, diesel prices have decreased significantly. A litre of diesel will cost AED2.66 in September, a 12-fil drop from last month. This change is expected to provide some relief for transport and logistics businesses, which rely heavily on diesel-fueled vehicles.

These monthly price adjustments reflect global oil market trends and are part of the UAE’s ongoing efforts to link fuel prices to international levels. Motorists are advised to monitor changes monthly to manage their fuel budgets effectively.

The UAE has been adjusting its fuel prices monthly since deregulating prices in 2015. September’s fuel price update shows a continued trend of small, managed shifts that help maintain economic stability while reflecting global energy markets.
