DUBAI: In a visionary move to enhance digital life and strengthen engagement with the community, Digital Dubai has launched the first-ever AI-powered ‘Emirati Family’—an interactive virtual household designed to raise awareness about Dubai’s smart services and promote human-centred digital transformation.

The initiative made its debut with the introduction of ‘The Girl’, a cheerful and traditionally dressed virtual character who reflects Emirati values while appealing to children and families. Presented in a short video across social media, she encouraged public participation by inviting viewers to vote on her name—choosing between ‘Dubai’, ‘Mira’, or ‘Latifa’.

This pioneering platform positions the AI family as digital ambassadors for Dubai’s government services. As more characters are introduced—including the father, mother and brother—the virtual family will embody a relatable Emirati household that communicates the benefits of digital transformation in a warm and engaging manner.

The AI-driven initiative aligns with Dubai’s broader mission to be a global hub for smart innovation. It serves as an accessible way to convey essential government messages and raise awareness of digital tools, services and platforms that enhance life across the emirate.

With each virtual character powered by advanced data technologies and artificial intelligence, the platform engages users across cultures, age groups, and languages. The project highlights how Dubai’s digital strategy integrates cultural identity with futuristic thinking, transforming public communication into an inclusive, community-driven experience.

Digital Dubai’s approach emphasises the use of AI to build a resilient, forward-looking society, encouraging public involvement and enhancing digital literacy in an appealing and interactive format.
