DUBAI: Ski Dubai, in collaboration with the Dubai Sports Council, has just wrapped up the 15th edition of the Ice Warrior Challenge, and what a show it was! A record-breaking 626 athletes from 68 nationalities, including 263 Emiratis, braved the chilly temperatures to tackle over 20 challenging obstacles that tested their mental and physical strength.

In the Elite Fitness category, Hallvard Borsheim took the top spot among the men, finishing with an impressive time of 29 minutes and 7 seconds. He was followed by Yeison Londono Franco and Marc Al Onso, who finished in 36:55 and 37:19, respectively. For the women, Tetiana Maltseva led the pack, crossing the line at 37:16, with Olga Naumova and Paulina Bascaro right behind her at 40:17 and 45:02.
In the Regular category, Mikhail Rudik and Luz Barrios snagged the first-place spots for men and women, finishing at 20:34 and 24:39. Mohamed Moulay and Nigina Lolakova also performed excellently, rounding out the top three for their categories.
When it came to teamwork, the Kebab Glorious crew claimed the top prize with a finish time of 36:32, closely followed by The Ski Turtles at 36:33 and Gambiteers at 41:34.
Attending the event were notable figures like His Excellency Saeed Hareb from the Dubai Sports Council, who presented trophies and prizes to the winners. Every participant walked away with a commemorative medal and a souvenir T-shirt, celebrating their achievements.
