The DP World ILT20 Season 4 Player Auction on 1 October in Dubai will allow teams to build squads within a USD 2M cap.

DUBAI: The highly anticipated DP World ILT20 Season 4 Player Auction will take place on Wednesday, 1 October 2025, at 2 PM GST at the Four Seasons Hotel, Jumeirah Beach, Dubai. Marking the league’s first-ever official auction, this event will be a significant milestone for the tournament ahead of its new season, which kicks off on UAE National Day, 2 December.

Each of the six participating franchises will finalise their squads during this event, following prior retention announcements made in July. Teams must have between 19 and 21 players, including at least 11 from ICC Full Member nations, four UAE players, one each from Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, and two from other Associate Nations. An additional two Wildcard players can be signed outside the auction for up to USD 250,000.

The auction purse includes USD 800,000 for on-day selections, in addition to unspent amounts from the USD 1.2M allocated for direct signings. All franchises must spend a minimum of USD 1.5M and a maximum of USD 2M to complete their squads.

Players have registered with base prices ranging from USD 10,000 to USD 80,000. They’ll be grouped by nationality and specialisation. Full Member players will be auctioned first, with marquee sets also expected.

The auction also introduces a unique Right-to-Match (RTM) rule, allowing franchises to retain one UAE player from their development or previous squad.

The auction will be streamed live on ZEE5 and the official DP World ILT20 YouTube channel. The 34-match tournament begins with a blockbuster opening on 2 December and concludes with the grand final on 4 January 2026.
