SHARJAH: Sharjah Handball Club achieved a historic milestone by clinching the Asian Handball Championship title with a nail-biting 27-26 victory against Saudi Arabia’s Al Khaleej. The final match, held in Doha, Qatar, showcased intense competition and the high calibre of both teams. Sharjah’s triumph not only marked their first-ever win in this prestigious tournament but also established a new benchmark for Emirati clubs on the Asian stage.

The championship brought together nine elite teams, each vying for the top spot. Sharjah’s resilience and strategic gameplay throughout the tournament underscored their determination to make history. H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and H.H.
