Emirati-led Team 2050 heads to Italy for the Formula 4 Powerboat World Championship finals in Viverone on 13–14 September.

ABU DHABI: Emirati powerboat racing outfit Team 2050 has officially departed for Milan, Italy, to take part in the final round of the Formula 4 Powerboat World Championship, set to take place on 13–14 September in the town of Viverone.

Leading the team is Alia Abdulsalam Firoz, the first Arab and Emirati woman to compete in this elite international motorsport competition. Her historic participation marks a major milestone for Emirati women in the global racing circuit and reflects growing regional investment in female sporting talent.

Team 2050’s journey is backed by the Mubadala Excellence Programme, with additional logistical support provided by Nirvana Travel & Tourism and medical sponsorship from Aesthetic Clinics. These collaborative efforts highlight the UAE’s commitment to promoting national talent and elevating its presence in international sports arenas.
