Dubai PodFest featured hands-on podcasting workshops with top global platforms like YouTube and TikTok to empower content creators.
DUBAI: The Dubai Press Club (DPC) successfully hosted a dynamic series of podcasting workshops during the fifth edition of Dubai PodFest, the region’s largest podcasting event. Held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the event brought together global media giants and regional creators to explore podcasting’s evolving future.
The workshops, conducted in partnership with major international platforms, aimed to equip digital content creators with essential skills across creative storytelling, business strategy, and audio technology. The event reinforced Dubai’s growing status as a global media innovation hub.
Among the highlights was a YouTube-led session titled ‘YouTube Podcasts Best Practices’, where Abdulrahman Al Hazmi shared expert insights on using the platform’s tools to expand podcast reach and monetisation. Similarly, TikTok’s ‘The Power of Going Live’ workshop by Mohamed Enaba revealed strategies for using real-time engagement to grow podcast audiences through TikTok LIVE.
Other key sessions included Podeo’s data-driven strategy workshop, Dolby’s immersive audio production training, and voice branding techniques taught by The Voice Center. Creators also explored podcast identity, marketing, branding, and effective interviewing with presenters and leaders from ARN, Mics, Podheroes, and El Mal El Halal Podcast.
“Dubai PodFest is designed to blend global expertise with Arab ambition,” said Mahfoudha Saleh, Manager of Dubai PodFest. “These workshops provide digital creators with the practical tools needed to compete both regionally and globally.”
This year’s edition of Dubai PodFest once again demonstrated the Emirate’s commitment to nurturing innovation in podcasting and supporting the region’s fast-growing digital media ecosystem.
