ABU DHABI: The Arts Centre at NYU Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) has unveiled its 10th season, featuring 55 performances by over 30 local and international artists. This milestone season, themed “Looking Back and Looking Forward,” offers a mix of returning favourites and new acts, including two world premieres and eight UAE debuts.
Highlights include the world premiere of Hamour Doesn’t Leave the Cubicle by Reem Almenhali and Ahmed Almadloum, and UAE debuts from artists like Gaye Su Akyol, Cimafunk, and KOKOKO!. The season also features first-time UAE performances of Sol Invictus by Cie. Hervé Koubi, Augurs by Chrystèle Khodr, and Beytna by Cie. Omar Rajeh & Maqamat. Additionally, popular acts like Trisha Brown Dance Company, Maysoon Zayid, and Yahael Onono Camara of Balimaya Project will make a return.
Bill Bragin, Executive Artistic Director of The Arts Centre, shared, “As we celebrate our 10th anniversary, we reflect on a decade of memorable collaborations that have positioned us as a global leader in the arts while playing a vital role in developing the UAE’s cultural scene. We’re proud of the lasting relationships we’ve built with artists and audiences, and we remain committed to fostering creativity and serving as a vibrant hub for intercultural dialogue.”

Looking ahead, Bragin emphasized that NYUAD will continue to be a major cultural resource on Saadiyat Island and for the UAE, focusing on innovation, diversity, inclusion, and artistic excellence.
