Dubai: Dr. Saeed Mubarak bin Kharbash, CEO of the Arts & Literature Sector at Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, recently visited the eleventh edition of the Quoz Arts Fest. The festival, organized in partnership with Dubai Culture, showcased more than 200 artistic and cultural presentations and activities over two days at Alserkal Avenue and the Al Quoz Creative Zone.

Dubai Culture’s support for creatives across various artistic sectors is evident in this visit, aligning with its commitment to realizing Dubai’s cultural vision of becoming a global center for culture and a thriving hub for talent. Bin Kharbash explored diverse installations and art exhibitions during his tour, praising the ability of the showcased works to express the visions of their creators.

Quoz Arts Fest contributes significantly to the local creative scene, adding a qualitative contribution to the cultural movement in the emirate and strengthening cultural and creative industries. Bin Kharbash highlighted the festival’s importance in providing supportive opportunities for talented individuals.

During the visit, Bin Kharbash met with Dubai Abulhoul, CEO of Fiker Institute, fostering knowledge and cultural partnerships between Dubai Culture and the Thought Foundation. He also reviewed various artistic works, including the ‘The Disappearing Art Show’ exhibition organized by Gulf Photo Plus, aiming to connect art collectors with emerging talent and artistic groups.

Bin Kharbash explored installation artworks like ‘Still from Here’ by PHI Studio, inspired by nomadic wisdom, and ‘Migrant Minds’ by Moey, delving into the stories of individuals seeking a better future. He also visited exhibitions like ‘Red Flags’ by Anahita Razmi at ‘Carbon 12’ and the interactive experience ‘Echoes of Nature’ by Japanese artist Yuri Suzuki.

The Quoz Arts Fest is designed to offer community members a chance to delve into the richness of the local art scene through cultural and visual experiences. The diverse program includes music and art events featuring performances by artists like MarSimba and Rast, accompanied by live techno music from Stick No Bills, showcasing the culture of South Asia, among other cultural displays. The festival serves as a platform for promoting art and creativity within the community.
