SHARJAH: H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, the Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has issued a directive for the allocation of a new site on Emirates Road, opposite Sharjah Mosque, to host the Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF). This landmark decision was made public during the ‘Direct Line’ program, which was broadcasted on Sharjah Radio and Television.
The new location promises to enhance the experience for both exhibitors and visitors, with ample space and improved accessibility, making it an ideal venue for the globally renowned book fair. As one of the largest and most important cultural events in the region, the SIBF continues to attract international participation, showcasing a diverse range of books, authors, and cultural programs.
H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan’s decision highlights his commitment to supporting cultural growth and promoting literature in the UAE. By relocating the fair to a more prominent location, it is expected to further solidify Sharjah’s position as a global cultural hub.
