Kannada series Shodha premieres on ZEE5 Global August 22, blending folklore, crime, and moral dilemmas in a gripping six-episode thriller.
GLOBAL: ZEE5 Global, the leading streaming platform for South Asian content, is set to release its latest Kannada original, Shodha, on 22 August 2025. Directed by Sunil Mysooru and produced by KRG Studios, the six-episode psychological crime thriller draws inspiration from ancient Kodava folklore and modern ethical conflicts.
At the heart of Shodha is Rohit (Pawan Kumar), a brilliant yet morally flexible lawyer whose life spirals when his wife mysteriously disappears — only to reappear under circumstances he refuses to believe. Convinced she is an imposter, Rohit is pulled into a dangerous game of deception, suspicion, and psychological warfare. As unsettling events unfold, buried truths threaten to resurface, forcing him to confront impossible choices.
The series also stars Siri Ravikumar, Arun Sagar, and Anusha Ranganath, with writing by Suhas Navarathna. Combining regional authenticity with universal storytelling, Shodha promises a tense, edge-of-the-seat narrative that keeps viewers guessing until the last frame.
