DUBAI: This October and November, families in the UAE can look forward to a delightfully unusual weekend escape at the Goat Festival at Expo City Dubai. Hosted at Terra – The Sustainability Pavilion – the event will take place on 25 and 26 October, and again on 1 and 2 November, offering four days of fun-filled activities centred around pygmy goats, creativity, and environmental learning.

Running from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM each day, the Goat Festival is set within Terra’s indoor and outdoor spaces, including its leafy courtyard and unique rooftop garden. Tickets are priced at AED 50 for both adults and children, with kids under three entering for free.

The highlight of the Goat Festival at Expo City Dubai is undoubtedly the five resident pygmy goats who not only charm visitors but also play a vital role in the sustainability of Terra’s gardens. Visitors can join guided goat walks every 30 minutes to learn how these animals contribute to ecosystem balance and green living.

Designed to be as engaging as it is educational, the festival features a range of hands-on activities including mask-making, bookmark crafting, footprint art, and gardening stations where children can plant their own mini gardens. A “Be the GOAT” game zone invites kids to enjoy self-guided fun, encouraging imagination and play.

Another heartwarming addition to the schedule is the Rescue Animal Encounter, where families can meet rehabilitated animals and learn about their journeys, fostering empathy and a deeper understanding of animal welfare.

Whether you’re there for the goats, the crafts, or the eco-lessons, Goat Festival at Expo City Dubai promises a refreshingly different family day out that blends fun with purpose. With its open-air setting, creative energy, and a muddy splash of animal joy, it’s a weekend adventure that leaves a lasting impression.
