IBPC Dubai’s Indian Independence Day event takes place on 15th August, blending cultural showcases and bold business initiatives in Dubai.
DUBAI: The Indian Business and Professional Council (IBPC Dubai), the top representative body for Indian professionals under the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, is set to celebrate Indian Independence Day tomorrow, August 15, 2025, with a grand event at the Grand Hyatt Dubai. The gathering will highlight India’s global influence through a dynamic fusion of tradition, innovation, and cross-border business leadership.
The high-profile event will welcome more than 500 distinguished guests, including Chief Guest H.E. Dr Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade. The evening will also honour Diana Pundole, India’s first female national motorsport champion, along with dignitaries such as HE Satish Kumar Sivan, Consul General of India in Dubai.
Tomorrow’s celebration will open with a traditional Indian welcome, followed by a vivid display of tricolour décor, fresh flowers, and a curated Thandai bar. Guests will enjoy regional dance performances and Indian street food stalls, concluding with a soulful concert by celebrated playback singer Anoop Shankar.
The Indian Independence Day Dubai event will also mark a strategic moment for IBPC as it unveils several forward-looking initiatives. These include the Capital Connect Series delegation to India’s GIFT City — a fintech and investment hub — and the relaunch of the Program for Sustainability promoting ESG collaboration between UAE and India.
Additionally, IBPC will launch a Master Class in partnership with India’s Institute of Directors, designed to unite Gen Z innovators with seasoned professionals. Expansions are also planned in sectors like Law, Taxation, Real Estate, Education, Technology, and Healthcare.
“IBPC Dubai continues to be a hub for transformation and collaboration,” said Siddharth Balachandran, Chairman of IBPC Dubai. “Tomorrow, we celebrate India’s legacy and the Indian diaspora’s growing impact on the UAE’s future.”
