DUBAI: Dubai Airports is fully prepared for the rainy season and an expected surge in passenger traffic numbers. Strategic planning and advanced data analysis are in place to ensure smooth operations during this busy period. Coordination with government agencies and partners is ongoing, with regular meetings to address potential challenges and maintain readiness.
This quarter is expected to see over 23.2 million travellers, driven by the holiday season, improved weather, and vacation trends. By year-end, passenger numbers are projected to reach 91.9 million, with ongoing reviews to adjust forecasts based on growing visitor traffic.
Looking ahead, sustained growth is anticipated, with projections of 94 million passengers in 2025 and 97 million in 2026, aiming for 100 million by 2027 or 2028.
Recent figures highlight the upward trend, with 23.7 million travellers recorded in the third quarter, up from 21.8 million in the previous quarter. Total passenger traffic for the first nine months of the year reached 68.6 million, reflecting a 6.3% increase compared to last year. The number of flights also rose by 6.4%, with 327,000 recorded so far, showcasing steady growth.
