DUBAI: Emirates airlines bans pagers and walkie-talkies on its flights after sabotage attacks in Lebanon according to agency reports. The airline also extended flight cancellations for certain Middle East destinations due to escalating regional tensions.

Passengers travelling to, from, or through Dubai are not allowed to carry pagers or walkie-talkies in either checked or cabin baggage, following a series of explosions linked to the Hezbollah group in Lebanon. These devices, blamed on Israel by Hezbollah, have caused deadly blasts, resulting in 37 deaths and thousands of injuries.

Emirates announced that any such items found in passengers’ luggage will be confiscated by Dubai Police. The airline also extended the suspension of flights to Iraq and Iran until Tuesday, following recent missile attacks between Iran and Israel. However, flights to Jordan, which were also temporarily halted, will resume on Sunday.
