Dubai: Rohan Ashok Khaunte, the Minister for Tourism, IT, and Printing & Stationery in the Indian state of Goa, emphasized the significance of the Middle East region, particularly the UAE, as a crucial tourism market for India.
He highlighted ongoing efforts to revitalize the tourism sector post-COVID-19, aiming to reshape the travel landscape and promote tourism growth in India. Speaking to the Emirates News Agency (WAM) during the Arabian Travel Market, he underscored the event’s role as a major player in the global travel and tourism industry. He emphasized its importance in attracting both buyers and tourists, providing a platform for Indian exhibitors from Goa Tourism to showcase their offerings and establish new partnerships with travel agents.
Minister Khaunte outlined the State of Goa’s commitment to prioritizing tourism development, with a focus on leveraging the state’s extensive coastline and enhancing the overall tourist experience. This entails various initiatives in ecotourism, adventure activities, destination weddings, and cultural exploration, all aimed at enriching visitors’ experiences and fostering sustainable tourism practices.
