SHARJAH: Sharjah International Airport Authority has assured the public that all flights and services are operating smoothly despite the recent global technical issue. They confirmed there are no delays or interruptions in their operations.

The authority emphasized their commitment to following the UAE government’s Cyber Security Council protocols to ensure continued service reliability.

A spokesperson from Dubai Airports affirmed that that Dubai International (DXB) Airport is operating normally following a global system outage that affected the check-in process for some airlines in Terminals 1 and 2 this morning.

He explained that the affected airlines promptly switched to an alternate system, allowing normal check-in operations to resume swiftly.

Additionally, a flydubai spokesperson reported that the technical issue did not affect the airline’s services and that it continues to monitor the situation closely.

Emirates also confirmed that their flight operations remain unaffected by the IT disruption. A spokesperson stated, “We are aware of the global IT issue and are closely monitoring the situation. Currently, Emirates’ flights are running on schedule.”

However, the spokesperson cautioned that there could be minor delays later due to residual effects from earlier disruptions at some airports in their network. They advised passengers to stay updated by checking the Emirates website and app for the latest flight details and to ensure their contact information on bookings is up to date.
