SHARJAH: Mleiha National Park, a landmark destination preserving Sharjah’s historical and natural heritage, has launched its new ‘Come Closer’ campaign—an immersive experience designed to connect visitors with nature, culture, adventure, and history.
Spanning 34.2 sq km, Mleiha National Park was established under an Emiri Decree by H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah, to safeguard its archaeological and ecological significance. Managed by the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), the park has now completed its fencing project in collaboration with the Directorate of Public Works (DPW), further reinforcing its commitment to conservation.
Ahmed Obaid Al Qaseer, CEO of Shurooq, highlighted the significance of this initiative, stating, “The launch of our ‘Come Closer’ campaign and the completion of the Mleiha National Park fencing project marks a major milestone in our ongoing commitment to preserve and showcase Sharjah’s rich cultural and natural heritage.”
This initiative, guided by Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson of Shurooq, reflects Sharjah’s vision of developing world-class destinations. The park offers a unique journey through 200,000 years of human history, blending archaeology, wildlife, and adventure in a sustainable environment.
The ‘Come Closer’ campaign features five themes:

• Come Closer to Nature – Discover Sharjah’s diverse landscapes.
• Come Closer to the Stars – Experience celestial wonders.
• Come Closer to Culture – Immerse in rich traditions.
