Riyadh: The first-ever Billboard Arabia Music Awards will take place on 11 December 2024, at the King Fahad Cultural Centre, Riyadh, during Riyadh Music Week. This landmark event celebrates Arabic music’s diversity, recognising regional and global artists like Elissa, Ahmed Saad, and Ayed.
The awards, based on credible streaming data from platforms like Spotify, Anghami, and YouTube, highlight audience preferences and the region’s thriving music scene. Over 40 categories will be awarded, including Top Artist, Song of the Year, and Top New Artist of the Year. Nominees include stars like Al Shami, Assala Nasri, and Tamer Ashour, representing 210 nominations and showcasing the growing fusion of global beats and Arabic lyrics.
The awards are a collaboration between SRMG and Billboard, reflecting Saudi Arabia’s emergence as a cultural hub. With the local live events market projected to surpass $1 billion by 2025 and streaming platforms experiencing rapid growth, Billboard Arabia aims to amplify regional talent and elevate Arabic music on a global scale.
