DIB renews its AED11 million contribution to Dubai Schools, advancing quality education access in line with Dubai’s social agenda.

DUBAI: Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) has reaffirmed its commitment to educational development by renewing its support for the ‘Dubai Schools’ initiative with a financial contribution of AED11 million for the 2025–2026 academic year. The move marks the second consecutive year DIB has backed the project, reinforcing the private sector’s role in transforming education across the emirate.

The partnership, announced by the Knowledge Fund Establishment (KFE), supports Dubai’s long-term goals under the Dubai Social Agenda 33 and the Education Strategy 2033. These strategies place education and human capital at the centre of sustainable growth, promoting equitable access to high-quality learning environments.

DIB renews AED11 million support for Dubai Schools to ensure deserving students can benefit from an inclusive and future-ready education model. More than 2,500 students from 38 nationalities are currently enrolled across the Mirdif, Al Barsha, Nad Al Sheba, and Al Khawaneej campuses—reflecting the project’s rapid growth since its launch in 2021 by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

His Excellency Abdulla Mohammed Al Awar, CEO of KFE, emphasised that this renewed collaboration reflects the strategic value of cross-sector partnerships. “Investing in education is no longer optional—it’s a national necessity. DIB’s continued support strengthens our shared mission to create a world-class learning environment for every student.”

Obaid Al Shamsi, Chief Operating Officer at DIB, echoed the sentiment, adding: “Our continued partnership with the Dubai Schools initiative demonstrates DIB’s belief in education as a key enabler of national progress. Together, we are helping shape a generation that is ready to lead the future.”

With plans to increase capacity to 15,000 students by 2033, Dubai Schools is expanding access to quality education while nurturing a learner-centric ecosystem built on innovation, diversity, and sustainability.
