Dubai Chambers and India’s Confederation of Indian Industry met to enhance bilateral trade and expand Indian business presence in Dubai.

DUBAI: Dubai Chambers continues to boost its international outreach with a recent high-level meeting with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), reinforcing efforts to strengthen UAE–India business relations. The meeting was led by Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, and Rajiv Memani, President of CII.

The discussions focused on building closer cooperation between the two business communities and exploring new areas for trade and investment. Attended by representatives from major Indian firms, the session spotlighted Dubai’s strategic value as a regional and global hub for Indian businesses.

Key outcomes of the dialogue included a proposal to diversify trade flows, expand collaboration in priority sectors, and organise roadshows and networking events across major Indian cities to attract investment into Dubai.

Highlighting the emirate’s growing appeal, Indian companies represented the largest group of new foreign firms registered with Dubai Chamber of Commerce during the first half of 2025. A total of 9,038 new Indian firms joined, reflecting a 14.9 percent year-on-year increase.

The meeting builds on a Memorandum of Understanding signed in April 2025 between Dubai Chambers and CII, aimed at supporting bilateral economic growth. The MoU established a framework to facilitate market entry, streamline setup processes and foster joint initiatives.

Dubai Chambers reaffirmed its commitment to helping Indian investors access strategic opportunities in the emirate, reinforcing Dubai’s role as a leading gateway to global markets.
