Dubai Mallathon 2025 kicks off today across nine malls, promoting indoor fitness with free entry, prizes, health check-ups, and community events.
Dubai: Dubai Mallathon 2025 officially begins today, transforming nine major shopping centres across the city into vibrant fitness hubs. The month-long initiative encourages residents and tourists to stay active indoors, aligning with Dubai Social Agenda 33 and the Year of Community.
Held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Mallathon is spearheaded by Dubai Sports Council and supported by the Ministry of Defence. Participants can walk or run daily from 7 to 10 am at Dubai Mall, Dubai Hills Mall, Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Deira, City Centre Mirdif, Dubai Marina Mall, The Springs Souk, Dubai Festival City, and Festival Plaza. These malls collectively provide 10km of indoor tracks.
To make fitness fun and rewarding, the Mallathon features weekend challenges, daily group activities, and community fitness events for all age groups. Over 40 iPhones, 10 tablets, and various gift cards and shopping vouchers are up for grabs through weekend competitions.
Saeed Hareb, Secretary-General of Dubai Sports Council, said, “The Mallathon reflects the vision of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan to integrate health into everyday life. It encourages people to embrace fitness in a fun and accessible setting.”
A dedicated programme titled Walking for Better Health, led by the Community Development Authority, also begins today to support senior citizens through safe and inclusive wellness activities.
The event is supported by Mai Dubai, UAE Sports For All Federation, Al Tadawi Hospital, Dubai Cooperative Society, Uber, and Careem. Participants can enjoy free health check-ups, dietary consultations, and access to healthy food choices throughout August.
