Madhya Pradesh Positions Itself as India’s Next Investment Powerhouse: CM Dr. Mohan Yadav Highlights Vision in Dubai
Dubai: In a significant move to attract foreign investments, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Mohan Yadav, embarked on a strategic 2-day visit to Dubai. His agenda focused on inviting global investors, especially from the UAE, to explore the vast business potential in Madhya Pradesh—a state fast emerging as India’s most investor-friendly destination.
During an exclusive interview with The Brew News Managing Editor Shaneer N Siddiqui, CM Dr. Yadav outlined his government’s vision, policies, and sectoral strengths that make Madhya Pradesh a compelling choice for global investors.
The Brew News: Hon’ble Chief Minister, how would you summarise your Dubai visit?
CM Dr. Mohan Yadav: Our visit to Dubai has been extraordinarily fruitful. The way India’s global image has transformed under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visible in the warmth and confidence we experienced here. Madhya Pradesh, in particular, has gained tremendous recognition for its proactive approach toward industrialisation and policy reform.
We came to Dubai with the aim of exploring investment opportunities, but the response exceeded our expectations. Investors from diverse sectors—renewable energy, food processing, logistics, real estate, green energy, and information technology—showed a genuine interest in collaborating with us. Many Madhya Pradesh-origin entrepreneurs already thriving in the UAE are eager to give back to their home state. This demonstrates the emotional and economic connect we have established internationally.
The Brew News: What makes Madhya Pradesh’s business ecosystem stand out?
CM Dr. Yadav: Madhya Pradesh offers a rare blend of policy clarity, geographical advantage, and administrative efficiency. We have launched forward-thinking policies across sectors—ranging from energy and infrastructure to IT and manufacturing.
More importantly, we provide transparency, single-window clearance, and consistent handholding for investors. We understand that an investor not only seeks profit but also security and ease of doing business. In MP, our officials engage directly with stakeholders, resolve issues proactively, and ensure that projects don’t just begin—they succeed.
Additionally, we’ve institutionalised regular feedback mechanisms through industry councils, and many successful entrepreneurs have become our ambassadors in building global confidence in our systems.

The Brew News: Are there any plans to set up Madhya Pradesh Export Council offices overseas?
CM Dr. Yadav: Absolutely. We have already established domestic offices in key cities like Bengaluru, Surat, Chennai, and Kolkata. Now, we are exploring international avenues to support MSMEs and exporters from Madhya Pradesh.
We’re in talks with key stakeholders in the UAE and other regions to set up nodal offices or platforms that can help local businesses navigate global markets. Our aim is to ensure that even small exporters from the state can access international buyers, aided by dedicated support cells and trade facilitation mechanisms.
The Brew News: How do you view Dubai’s development model and its relevance to MP?
CM Dr. Yadav: Dubai is an extraordinary example of visionary planning and execution. From tourism and real estate to aviation and logistics—it’s a case study for emerging economies. In Madhya Pradesh, we have identified similar areas for transformation.
Tourism—particularly religious and heritage tourism—is a major focus for us. We’re expanding infrastructure around Mahakal Lok, Sanchi, Khajuraho, and other spiritual destinations. We’ve also introduced a new Film Production Policy, developed adventure tourism hubs, and launched health and wellness tourism initiatives.
What’s unique is our holistic approach—we’re not just promoting tourism but integrating it with sectors like hospitality, transportation, and digital services to create an end-to-end ecosystem.
The Brew News: Devotees from the diaspora often cite difficulties in booking appointments for Mahakal Darshan. How is this being addressed?
CM Dr. Yadav: It’s true that demand has surged exponentially—from 60-70 lakh annual visitors pre-2022 to nearly 7 crore today. This unprecedented growth reflects Baba Mahakal’s divine grace and the spiritual pull of Ujjain.
To manage the influx, we have invested heavily in digital systems, online darshan bookings, and queue management tools. More infrastructure—hotels, public amenities, and transport facilities—has also been added. Importantly, we’re working towards a seamless experience for NRIs, including priority bookings and NRI facilitation desks.
Investor Proposals and State Commitment
Dr. Yadav also highlighted key proposals received during the visit, such as a ₹1,000 crore investment for a zero-carbon Sustainable City and plans to invite foreign universities under NEP 2020. He confirmed the government’s readiness to extend land, capital subsidies, and SGST reimbursements to strategic international partners, particularly from the UAE.
With initiatives like plug-and-play industrial parks, a revised Industrial Policy 2025, and focused development in logistics, renewable energy, aviation, and agriculture, Madhya Pradesh is firmly positioning itself as a rising global investment hub.
“Our mission is clear—investors should not just come to Madhya Pradesh; they must thrive here. And we, as a government, will walk every step with them,” Dr. Yadav affirmed in closing.
