Nearly 300 Indian startups join Expand North Star 2025, using Dubai as a gateway for growth and global exposure.
DUBAI: The 2025 edition of Expand North Star, held at Dubai Harbour from 12 to 15 October, is attracting major attention with around 300 Indian startups participating. Organised by Dubai World Trade Centre and hosted by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, the event underscores Dubai’s rising status as a global technology hub and a springboard for international business expansion.
Indian entrepreneurs are making the most of the platform to build global partnerships, pitch to international investors, and showcase their innovations. Startups from AI, retail technology, and climate tech sectors are especially active, viewing Expand North Star as a vital opportunity for visibility and growth.
Premkumar Jagadeesan, CEO of Episyche Technologies, said the event is a launchpad to gain international recognition. “Dubai is a bridge across the European and Asian regions,” he noted, adding that his company’s B2B AI platform benefits from global exposure and new partnerships.
For climate tech startups, Dubai presents a strategic market. Bob Mathew Pulickan of Fluxgen Sustainable Technologies, which uses AI and IoT for water intelligence, highlighted Dubai’s relevance due to its reliance on desalinated water. “The UAE is a major market. The government supports startups, especially in climate tech,” he said.
Women-led startups are also leveraging Dubai’s potential. Amana Muhammed of Ruminuz Digital sees the emirate as the perfect global expansion hub. Her company, which developed Ybes, a retail growth engine, has already succeeded in India and Ethiopia and now plans to expand further via Dubai.
Supporting this momentum, the Dubai International Chamber’s representative office in Bangalore offers services to help Indian tech firms expand into the UAE. With vibrant networking, international exposure, and robust investor engagement, Expand North Star 2025 continues to position Dubai as a magnet for innovation and cross-border collaboration.
