KOZHIKODE: Superstar and Honorary Lieutenant Colonel Mohanlal gave a heartfelt shout-out to the Territorial Army on social media, celebrating its 77 years of service. In his tribute, he shared how proud he is to be part of the 122 INF BN (TA) Madras unit based in Kozhikode and saluted the dedication of every soldier past and present.
“77 years of selfless service, resilience, and unwavering commitment — that’s the legacy of the Territorial Army. Proud to serve,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter), acknowledging the men and women who he said truly represent the spirit of India.
The actor also paid homage to fallen heroes and their families, calling their sacrifices “supreme” and offering a heartfelt salute. Mohanlal’s tribute reflected unity, pride, and deep respect for the armed forces and the values they stand for.
His association with the Territorial Army goes back to 2009, when he was inducted as an Honorary Lieutenant Colonel by then Army Chief General Deepak Kapoor.
Earlier this week, Mohanlal met current Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi in New Delhi. He received a special commendation following his Dadasaheb Phalke Award win and discussed his ongoing involvement with the TA.
