New arrivals include Green Magpie, Livingstone’s Turaco, Purple Starling, Black-Capped Lory and Red Lory and fascinating Dwarf Crocodiles.

Dubai’s The Green Planet is enriching its biodome with a new group of exotic birds and the fascinating addition of Dwarf Crocodiles. This expansion highlights the centre’s ongoing commitment to conservation and its role in educating visitors about the need to protect biodiversity. Located in Dubai, the biodome houses over 3,000 exotic species across its four immersive levels.

The new arrivals include the Green Magpie and the Indochinese Green Magpie, whose vibrant plumage draws attention to environmental issues like illegal bird trading and habitat destruction. Birdwatchers can also observe species like the Livingstone’s Turaco, Green Turaco, and White Cheeked Turaco, known for their colourful feathers and tree-hopping antics.

Another highlight is the playful Sun Conures, native to South America, whose striking yellow-orange feathers brighten the environment. The biodome is also home to Scarlet Macaws, Eclectus Parrots, and Scarlet Ibises, all of which represent important ecosystems from the rainforests of the Americas and the Solomon Islands.

Nature enthusiasts will love the Black-Capped Lory and Red Lory, both from New Guinea and Australia, whose vibrant colours and personalities educate guests about the illegal pet trade. Also making their appearance are the Racket-Tailed Treepie and the Red-Winged Starling, offering opportunities for stunning photography.

In addition to these remarkable birds, the Dwarf Crocodiles are a new, rare species to explore. Native to West Africa, these smaller crocodiles highlight the importance of wetland ecosystems and biodiversity conservation.

With these additions, The Green Planet™ Dubai remains a key destination for nature lovers and families, offering immersive learning experiences and conservation efforts for all.
