UAE’s Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship urges residents and visitors to avoid fraudulent visa service ads and use only authorized channels.

UAE: The UAE’s Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security has issued a strong warning against unauthorised online accounts and companies promoting fast-track visa or residency services. Citizens, residents, and visitors have been urged to rely exclusively on the Authority’s official platforms to avoid being misled.

The warning comes in light of a surge in deceptive advertisements circulating across websites and social media channels. These unauthorised entities falsely claim they can expedite government services, sidestepping formal regulations in exchange for high fees.

The Authority clarified that it offers all services—whether for entry permits, visas, residency, or Emirates IDs—through streamlined, user-friendly procedures via its official website, smart application, and certified service centres across the UAE. It confirmed that no external company or office has been granted preferential access to reduce processing times.

The Authority also highlighted that these deceptive practices harm its reputation, compromise national security, and contribute to an unofficial black market that undermines the transparency of public service delivery.

“These unauthorised parties use misleading tactics to collect money illegally, which may result in financial loss and potential legal trouble for individuals,” the Authority stated.

Officials added that all suspicious accounts and websites are being closely monitored, with legal measures underway in cooperation with competent authorities.

The public is encouraged to verify any service offers through official sources and to report suspicious activity directly to the Authority.

This initiative aligns with the UAE’s ongoing efforts to protect digital integrity and uphold the reliability of government services.

UAE visa fraud must be taken seriously—staying informed and cautious is the best protection.
