ABU DHABI: The UAE is solidifying its global leadership in solar energy, making substantial investments in renewable energy projects to achieve climate neutrality by 2050. With a clean energy target of 14.2 gigawatts by 2030, the nation is spearheading a sustainable energy transformation.

Home to three of the world’s largest solar power plants, the UAE is committed to balancing traditional and clean energy sources under its Energy Strategy 2050 and National Hydrogen Strategy 2050. The updated Energy Strategy now aims to triple clean energy contributions in seven years, with AED 150-200 billion in planned investments.

Prioritising solar power, the UAE is leading climate change action while ensuring sustainable development. By advancing energy transmission and distribution infrastructure, the country enhances regional and global energy integration, strengthening energy security.
