Abu Dhabi-based engineer from Chennai, Saravanan Venkatachalam, wins AED 25 million grand prize in Big Ticket’s Series 280 live draw.
ABU DHABI: Saravanan Venkatachalam, a 44-year-old engineer from Chennai living in Abu Dhabi, has been named the grand prize winner of AED 25 million in the Big Ticket Series 280 live draw, held on 3 November 2025. This life-changing win follows five years of participating in Big Ticket draws, sometimes individually, sometimes with friends.
Saravanan, who moved to the UAE six years ago, missed the winning call initially as his phone was on ‘Do Not Disturb’. “It was my friends and family who alerted me. I was speechless and overwhelmed,” he shared. He now plans to sit with his family to thoughtfully decide how to use the winnings, with a portion already earmarked for his child’s education.
Encouraging others, Saravanan said, “Even if you can’t afford a full ticket, join with friends. Big Ticket is genuine—it gives people hope.”
