DUBAI: The Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA), in collaboration with the Dubai Police General Command, has unveiled the Digital Security Screener Licensing System for security personnel across Dubai’s airports. The move reflects the emirate’s push towards innovation in aviation safety and aligns with global standards to sustain operational excellence in airport security.
The new digital platform streamlines licensing processes, enhances workforce efficiency, and integrates smart systems to support Dubai’s status as a leading global aviation hub. This milestone initiative is aligned with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, designed to strengthen institutional integration and deliver cutting-edge digital solutions in safety and security.
The launch event was attended by senior officials including H.E. Mohammed Abdulla Lengawi, Director General of the DCAA, and H.E. Major General Harib Al Shamsi, Acting Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police. The ceremony also included senior leadership from Dubai’s aviation and airport security sectors.
H.E. Lengawi highlighted that the new digital licensing system is a direct result of cross-institutional collaboration and technological foresight. “It ensures the integration of smart systems and the optimal use of modern technologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the security ecosystem,” he said.
Major General Harib Al Shamsi echoed this commitment, stating: “Innovation in the security system is a cornerstone in keeping pace with the rapid changes in the aviation industry. Together with our strategic partners, we continuously work on developing our technical capabilities and human resources.”
