DUBAI: In a landmark move to redefine luxury yachting tourism, the Dubai Maritime Authority (DMA), in collaboration with the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), has launched the Dock & Dine initiative — a first-of-its-kind programme connecting 20 marinas with high-end waterfront dining experiences.
As part of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, the initiative aims to position Dubai as the leading global destination for short-stay yacht visits and culinary tourism, offering yacht owners, crew, and guests the ability to access curated restaurants, luxury hotels, and cultural landmarks directly from the city’s vibrant coastline.
Participating marinas include Al Seef, Bulgari Marina, Dubai Harbour Marinas, Mina Rashid, Palm Jumeirah, and others. With services such as free moorage, five-minute booking response windows, dedicated dock tenders, and real-time communication with restaurants, Dock & Dine ensures a hassle-free, world-class experience.
Sheikh Dr. Saeed bin Ahmed bin Khalifa Al Maktoum, CEO of DMA, noted that the initiative showcases Dubai’s commitment to operational excellence, innovation, and hospitality: “We have harmonised marina regulations and enhanced processes across the board, elevating the experience for every yacht visitor.”
His Excellency Issam Kazim, CEO of DCTCM, added: “Dock & Dine is a pivotal moment in Dubai’s maritime journey, enriching Dubai’s global value proposition as a luxury and leisure destination.”
The initiative also aligns with Dubai’s winter tourism boom (October to April), when the city’s warm climate and packed event calendar attract international visitors. With over 4,000 berths across a world-class marina network, Dubai is well-equipped to cater to superyachts, leisure boats, and maritime professionals.
Alongside gastronomic excellence — spotlighted by the MICHELIN Guide Dubai 2025 — the initiative enhances the yachting ecosystem with access to marine services, wellness hubs, and shopping, further highlighting Dubai’s integrated nautical infrastructure.
Dubai’s strategic location, simplified visa packages, and six-month stay allowance for foreign-flagged vessels add further value, making it the premier global destination for yachting, tourism, and seamless waterfront experiences.
