Parkin and charge&go by e& partner to launch 200 ultra-fast EV chargers across Dubai, enhancing green mobility infrastructure.
DUBAI: In a major push towards sustainable mobility, Parkin Company PJSC has entered into a 10-year partnership with charge&go, a subsidiary of Etisalat Services Holding (e&), to install 200 ultra-fast EV chargers across Dubai. The project will accelerate the emirate’s clean energy goals and support the growing number of electric vehicles on the road.
Set to launch in October 2025, this initiative will deploy state-of-the-art direct current (DC) chargers that can power electric vehicles in under 30 minutes. Strategically located at high-traffic residential, retail and leisure areas, the chargers are designed to meet the rising demand from over 40,000 EV owners in Dubai.
Phase one of the rollout will see 20 chargers installed at key city hotspots. Over the next year, an additional 180 charging stations will follow, creating one of the most comprehensive public and private EV charging networks in the region. The advanced chargers will offer customers fast, efficient service via Parkin’s dedicated app, which allows users to reserve charging bays, monitor charge status, and make secure payments.
Parkin CEO Eng. Mohamed Abdulla Al Ali noted, “This 10-year partnership with charge&go reflects our shared commitment to building sustainable, tech-driven mobility solutions that support Dubai’s 2040 urban master plan.”
Etisalat Services Holding CEO Muammar Al Rukhaimi added, “This partnership shows how cities like Dubai can embrace large-scale sustainability while enhancing the user experience.”
Parkin, which currently operates around 212,000 paid parking spaces in Dubai, first signed the MoU with charge&go during GITEX 2024. The new ‘park and charge’ model also includes a rule-based protocol to reduce misuse, ensuring vehicles only occupy charging bays when actively charging.
This collaborative initiative is another step forward in Dubai’s mission to be a future-ready, eco-conscious smart city.
