Dubai Ride 2025 drew 40,327 cyclists to Sheikh Zayed Road, launching the Dubai Fitness Challenge with a strong message of unity and activity.

DUBAI: The sixth edition of Dubai Ride 2025 officially kicked off the Dubai Fitness Challenge in spectacular style, as a record-breaking 40,327 cyclists took over Sheikh Zayed Road in a stunning display of community spirit and active living. The early morning event turned the city’s most iconic road into a cyclist’s paradise, featuring two scenic routes past landmarks like Burj Khalifa, Dubai Water Canal, and the Museum of the Future.

Presented by DP World, Dubai Ride 2025 began with high energy and an atmosphere of celebration, welcoming riders of all ages and fitness levels. From first-time families enjoying the 4km Downtown loop to seasoned cyclists racing along the 12km main route, the event perfectly captured this year’s campaign theme—‘Find Your Challenge.’

The shorter 4km route guided families through Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard, offering young cyclists a gentle introduction to urban riding. Meanwhile, the 12km ride along Sheikh Zayed Road allowed more experienced riders to push themselves while enjoying the skyline and smooth terrain.

Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of the Dubai Sports Council, stated: “Dubai Ride exemplifies how sport and fitness unite people across all backgrounds. It reflects our community’s growing commitment to health and wellbeing.”

Adding excitement along the way, the ride included live DJs, marching bands, cheer squads, and even Dubai’s mascots Modesh and Dana. Riders personalised their bikes at the Ride & Style station, and an LED speed sign added a fun, interactive element for cyclists to monitor their pace.

Influential fitness figures such as Kayla Itsines, Gary Brecka, Leana Deeb, and former footballer Bacary Sagna joined the ride, further inspiring the community. The day started with the high-energy Dubai Ride Speed Laps, which saw advanced cyclists setting off at dawn for a high-speed challenge.

Dubai Ride is the first of four flagship events in the 2025 Dubai Fitness Challenge calendar, followed by Dubai Stand Up Paddle (8–9 Nov), Dubai Run (23 Nov), and the inaugural Dubai Yoga at Zabeel Park (30 Nov). Throughout November, the city is activating Fitness Villages, Community Fitness Hubs, and thousands of free workouts to support residents in completing their 30 minutes of daily activity for 30 days.

Under the vision of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the initiative continues to drive Dubai’s ambition of becoming the world’s most active city.
