DUBAI: Dubai International Airport (DXB) has introduced a new smart pickup solution called DXB Greet & Go at Terminal 3, aiming to transform the traditional guest reception experience for arriving travellers. The service is designed specifically for visitors who have pre-booked transport through licensed hotels, limousine services, or tour operators in Dubai.

Replacing the conventional guest paging system, DXB Greet & Go uses a QR-code-based interface, allowing guests to scan and instantly view their driver’s name, vehicle details, and parking location. Multilingual staff at the terminal assist guests and guide them efficiently to their assigned vehicles, creating a more streamlined and welcoming arrivals experience.

The smart pickup system is located in the Arrivals area of Terminal 3, aligning with airport safety protocols while reducing congestion and enhancing passenger flow. It also supports airport partners in offering a modern, tech-enabled service while maintaining operational efficiency.

Essa Al Shamsi, Senior Vice President of Terminal Operations at Dubai Airports, explained that the initiative reflects DXB’s mission to simplify every stage of a traveller’s journey. “By modernising the way guests are received, we’re helping our partners deliver a smarter, more personalised welcome, while easing footfall in the terminal,” he said.

The service is currently available to licensed Dubai-based travel and transport partners, who can register vehicles and drivers on the dedicated DXB Greet & Go portal. Prior to arrival, guests receive a QR code which, when scanned at the terminal, triggers the pickup process with real-time assistance.
