DUBAI: The curtains have closed on Dubai’s Festival of Lights 2025, a ten-day extravaganza that brought together residents and tourists in a spirited celebration of culture, cuisine, and community. Organised by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), this year’s edition saw unprecedented attendance, major retail activations, and dazzling entertainment, making it one of the city’s most vibrant seasonal showcases to date.
Drawing hundreds of thousands across the city, Festival of Lights Dubai 2025 delivered over 15 blockbuster concerts, breathtaking firework displays, exclusive retail discounts at more than 100 brands, and mega raffle prizes totalling over AED500,000. The return of the Noor – Festival of Lights was a standout, with over 50,000 visitors enjoying three days of light installations and cultural performances from 120 artists.
High-profile concerts by global comedy star Russell Peters and Bollywood legends Mika Singh, Neha Kakkar, and Neeraj Madhav thrilled over 100,000 attendees, spotlighting the festival’s fusion of heritage and high-energy entertainment.
Retail engagement was equally impressive, with shoppers benefiting from up to 75% discounts across categories like fashion, jewellery, beauty, and home décor. Campaigns such as “Shop, Scan, and Strike Gold” and the textile-specific “Shop Textiles, Spark Rewards” drove strong footfall and over AED 4 million in transactions.
Family-friendly activities included live performances, mall activations, and open-air markets. Highlights featured Deira Waterfront Market’s spice-based rangoli installation, BurJuman Mall’s Baithak musical gathering, and City Centre Deira’s Diwali-themed escalator fashion show, headlined by Nora Fatehi.
The culinary scene shone with 12 of Dubai’s top dining spots serving Diwali-inspired menus that blended traditional flavours with modern flair, reinforcing Dubai’s status as a global gastronomic capital.
Mohamed Feras of DFRE noted, “This festival truly embodied the diverse essence that defines Dubai. It united communities through vibrant experiences and unforgettable moments.” Hayssam Hajjar from Festival Plaza echoed this, sharing that footfall rose by 7% year-on-year, showing Dubai’s growing consumer enthusiasm.
From fireworks to food, fashion to family fun, Festival of Lights Dubai 2025 highlighted the spirit of togetherness that defines the city, reaffirming Dubai as a top destination for culture, celebration, and global unity.
