DUBAI: A new era begins for GITEX GLOBAL as the iconic technology event relocates to Expo City Dubai from 7th to 11th December 2026. This strategic move, initiated under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and guided by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, marks a bold repositioning of the global tech calendar and aligns with the ambitious goals of Dubai Economic Agenda D33.
Set to unfold in the Dubai Exhibition Centre, the revamped edition introduces a global-first – the TechCation experience – blending innovation, business and lifestyle across citywide activations. The GITEX Expo City Dubai initiative aims to redefine the format of tech expos by creating immersive, liveable tech-driven experiences across Dubai’s vibrant social and cultural landscapes.
TechCation, envisioned as a next-generation convergence of tourism and technology, enhances Dubai’s appeal as a destination for international tech leaders and investors. The relocation to December strategically places the show within Dubai’s high tourist season, offering longer, more engaging stays for participants.
The show’s new venue is undergoing a US$2.7 billion expansion to become the largest indoor events facility in the region. Beyond just venue scale, GITEX Expo City Dubai will host the GITEX Scale Summit, a one-day leadership forum focused on shaping AI economies and critical tech sectors including biosciences, quantum tech, and advanced manufacturing.
In addition to GITEX GLOBAL, Expand North Star will also co-locate at Expo City, integrating startups, investors, and innovators into a single, future-focused ecosystem. This combined showcase reinforces Dubai’s stature as a hub for innovation, digital nomads, and visionary thinkers.
