Sheikh Hamdan attends second ‘7 Over 7’ event, highlighting UAE’s inclusive volunteerism with People of Determination.
DUBAI: H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council, attended the second volunteering activity under the nationwide ‘7 Over 7’ initiative, held at Al Mamzar Park to mark UAE Flag Day. The session, titled ‘Art Session with People of Determination’, brought together over 600 participants in a celebration of creativity, inclusion, and national identity.
Sheikh Hamdan was joined by H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, along with senior ministers and officials from across the UAE. The event is part of a national framework promoting skill-based volunteering across all seven emirates.
Sheikh Hamdan highlighted the significance of empowering People of Determination, affirming the UAE’s commitment to placing people at the heart of its development plans. “The creativity shown today reflects our values of unity and giving,” he said. “Volunteerism remains a core pillar in shaping a cohesive and compassionate society.”
The Crown Prince emphasised the UAE’s leadership in promoting inclusive community engagement and noted that initiatives like ‘7 Over 7’ reinforce the role of volunteers in building a better future.
Sheikha Latifa praised the powerful messages conveyed through art and commended the talents of People of Determination, noting art’s vital role in cultural growth and national unity.
More than 200 artists of determination, skilled in painting and fine arts, collaborated with over 400 trained volunteers to produce artwork celebrating the UAE’s identity. A key moment of the event featured the painting of the UAE flag on the outer theatre wall at Al Mamzar Park, reflecting the spirit of national pride and shared creativity.
The ‘7 Over 7’ initiative continues to inspire a culture of contribution, encouraging participation from all segments of society through meaningful acts of service and community collaboration.
