IGCF 2025 in Sharjah welcomed 14,800 global delegates to explore how communication can enhance quality of life.

SHARJAH: The 14th International Government Communication Forum (IGCF 2025) wrapped up a dynamic two-day agenda at Expo Centre Sharjah, drawing a remarkable 14,800 delegates from across governments, academia, media, and global institutions. Under the theme “Communication for Quality of Life”, the forum positioned Sharjah as a beacon for cross-sector collaboration in tackling shared human challenges.

Organised by the Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB), this year’s IGCF hosted 237 expert speakers across 110 activities including 51 panel discussions, 7 inspiring talks, and 22 practical workshops. The forum was designed not only as a space for policy dialogue but as a public platform—22 interactive areas enabled community members to participate directly, encouraging grassroots solutions and joint initiatives.

The 2025 edition also saw more than 30 institutional partners from sectors such as media, education, technology, and international relations. Key partners were honoured for their contribution to this collaborative spirit, including UAE University, Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, and Invest Bank, among others.

His Excellency Tariq Saeed Allay, Director-General of SGMB, commented, “The 14th edition of IGCF demonstrated Sharjah’s belief that quality of life must be the compass guiding all development. By uniting thought leaders to address food security, sustainability, and health, we showcased that communication is not just a tool, but a transformative strategy for human progress.”

The forum concluded with the Sharjah Government Communication Award (SGCA) 2025 ceremony, recognising excellence and innovation in global communication. The platform reaffirmed its role in not only fostering dialogue but generating solutions with tangible impact.
