At Intersec 2024, the world’s largest gathering of fire and emergency professionals, fire safety took center stage as a top priority. Hosted by Dubai Civil Defense, the Fire Safety segment featured 400 exhibitors, both local and international. This exhibition showcased the latest technologies and best practices in firefighting while facilitating connections among global experts.

The Fire Rescue section, spanning five halls at the Dubai World Trade Centre, is the fastest-growing sector, presenting products like Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting Equipment, Emergency Alarm Systems, and Safety Design. A dedicated Fire Rescue Conference began, focusing on revolutionary technologies transforming the industry. Saeed Alshaiba of Dubai Civil Defense highlighted their Readiness application, using Artificial Intelligence to predict fires and enhance preparedness.

Hochiki Middle East displayed advanced fire detection systems at Intersec 2024. Shahab Anjum, Head of Sales, emphasized the impact of the pandemic, accelerating the adoption of remote monitoring technologies. AI-driven sensor technologies improve detection accuracy, reduce false alarms, and cloud-based fire alarm solutions offer scalability and accessibility.

NAFFCO, a UAE-based global leader in fire protection systems, showcased a comprehensive portfolio, including fire trucks and detection technology. The Safety Walk feature emphasized the importance of personal protective equipment (PPE), presenting the latest guidelines for use and maintenance.

The ongoing Fire Rescue Conference features industry experts discussing topics like the future of fire safety in smart buildings and international collaboration in fire safety. Intersec 2024, with five product sections covering various security aspects, marks its 25th edition, attracting over 1,000 exhibitors from 60 nations and more than 45,000 trade visitors. The theme, ‘Innovating security tech for a quarter century,’ reflects the exhibition’s commitment to advancing security technologies.
